About
“Frankie Mae is an indie folk
singer-songwriter. Her music lives at the crossroads of heartache and hope.
Her songs blend the earthy honesty of folk storytelling with the emotional depth of modern pop.”
Rooted in the quiet beauty of Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore and shaped by her German roots, Frankie's songs blend the earthy honesty of folk storytelling with the emotional depth of modern pop. With her signature ethereal voice, poetic lyricism, and acoustic warmth, she invites listeners into a world that feels both intimate and timeless — a place where heartbreak becomes light and longing turns to faith.
She writes songs that linger in the air long after they’ve ended - the kind that remind you of moonlit drives, late-night conversations, and the delicate courage it takes to begin again.
Performing with her acoustic guitar or behind the piano, Frankie brings a rare vulnerability to the stage. Her live shows feel less like performances and more like shared moments - flickering candlelight, laughter between songs, and an atmosphere of gentle reverence.
She has won the Munich Singer Songwriter Competition MUSOC twice in 2012 and 2013 and has been featured as one of the newcomer artists to watch in Munich Radio station egoFM with her Due ‘Penny or a Smile”. From there she took the step over seas ,redefined her style, and has since performed at several singer songwriter circles, house concerts and festivals. She has performed as a feature artist at the speakeasy ‘the Underground’ in 2024 in Dartmouth. In 2025 she began working on her debut Album ‘Wiser’, recording with Laura Rae and Zachari Smith. The album will be released in spring of 2026.
